it is reputadly one of the oldest spansish chestnuts still alive in the uk,and it is just about to throw out a few new leaves from various parts of the trunk,still alive and kicking,I often wonder what storys it could tell.many and plenty I am sure,,,xxxx

thnakyou very much this tree and I are old friends I take pics during each season,and it is one of the oldest trees in a wood called Chipperfields woods in herts and a Spanish Chestnut,picture does not do the size of the tree justice,

thanks for looking that was takena few months ago and now she is in full spring colours,but the oldest sanish hestnut tree in that forest....and awe inspring to stand beside..x
